Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, also known as CS:GO, is a first-person shooter game with action elements. In this game, you play as either a terrorist or a counter-terrorist. Your goals may vary: guarding or rescuing hostages, or planting of defusing a bomb. These goals are often on a timer, and you must reach and defend your goal by killing off the enemy team. Each round win gets you the in-game currency that you can spend on weaponry, and give your team the edge.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Review

The challenge you need

So many first-person shooter games nowadays play your games for you. Some new players with no coordination can just come on to the platform and be just as good as you. So why bother? Because of CSGO. In this game, you need practice, knowledge, strategy, and a good aim. The developers made this game so realistic; your fire weapons even have recoil. It might be a challenge to get a straight aim, but that’s the point. It wouldn’t be as fun if you hit your target by pointing your weapon in its general direction. Besides, you can gain all the experience you need to kick butts in this game by exploring every offline mode and beating up bots. You’ll strike fear into the heart of the enemy with your unparalleled skill.

Realistic down to the negatives

In the real world, people have financial issues; they go broke, which affects their likelihood of gaining momentum again. Also, they lose your stuff. Well, CS:GO covers those issues too. If you purchase a gun with the in-game currency and die mid-round, you lose that weapon. And speaking of money, if you’re broke, you have to make do with what little you have. It’s hard beating other players who have more currency to spend on better weapons. You can always use your wit, but you can bet most CS:GO players are just as good as you. Another crux in this game is accurate shooting. Of course, you can build your skill at aiming, but it’s almost impossible to hit your target while moving. You have to master the shooting at the exact second your character stops moving and sliding back into hiding to avoid getting killed.

The real deal

Despite its flaws, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive hit its mark where it matters. As a first-person shooter game, it’s challenging, entertaining, and your wins feel earned. There’s a good reason why Counter-Strike has been around for this long!
