World of Tanks – Review

Tank target locked

World of Tanks does many things right for a free-to-play MMO game. For example, the game physics are mind-blowing. Shots can hit or miss according to the composition of the bullet or the tank and could ricochet according to the angle. However, you don’t have to do all the math by yourself; the game assists you with your aim when it comes to finding weak points. In addition, when you hit a target, and it doesn’t get damaged, the game automatically gives you a call out feedback. Consequently, you can adjust your aim, position, or target to inflict more damage. Also, when you die, you don’t regenerate. However, instead of being stuck in spectator mode, you can hop back into another battle and get notified of the outcome of the game you lost. So you can review the stats, and you don’t miss the rewards.

World of Tanks also makes many mistakes that could be a detriment to the enjoyment of the game. Although the game is free-to-play, it could very well be considered a pay-to-win game. On the one hand, the payable premium consumables don’t even compare to the credit-bought items, and the free tanks are insanely much weaker than the premium ones. Also, it doesn’t help that the game matchmaking in the middle to lower tears is incredibly skewed against you if you don’t pay for premium items.

Overall, the game has a good MMO concept, proper mechanics, and enough variety to keep you entertained. However, if you don’t have enough time to gain the credits you need, you’ll find yourself at a disadvantage to paying players in World of Tanks.

How to play World of Tanks

World of Tanks allows you to win and choose between several types of tanks. For instance, there’s the light tanks, medium, heavy, destroyers, self-propelled-guns, and a few main battle tanks. The first thing to know is that your allies will show in green when you get dropped on a battlefield, and your enemy in red. Second, your common goal in the game is to destroy the enemy. To that end, the best strategy to opt for is to seek cover while trying to lock on your target. Third, when you load the game the first time, you enter the tutorial. Do not skip that step; it will explain everything you need to know about controls and gets you rewards. And last, don’t forget to have fun destroying tanks.
