League of Legends – Review
A legend in the MOBA genre
For its freemium business model, the game is fantastic. For instance, the vast cast of Legends, and the comprehensive tutorial learning curve make the game enjoyable for newcomers and veterans of League of Legends. Also, the development team has been upgrading the game’s graphics over the year, and it rivals most MOBA games. In addition to the great gameplay, the League also has an automated tribunal system that deals with toxic players.
First, there’s the replay issue. The game doesn’t have that feature. Consequently, you can’t learn from your past mistakes. Also, there is no voice chat, which makes communicating with your team a hassle.
Despite its few shortcomings, League of Legends rivals the top games of the genre. It’s enjoyable, challenging, new-player-friendly, and fairly freemium.
Where can you download the game?
Joining League of Legends is reasonably straightforward. First, go to the official website, and click play for free. Then, enter all the indicated information and create an account. Finally, click download. Welcome to the Rift!
How to become a Legend
In League of Legends, you assume the role of a champion as part of a team to protect your Nexus on a map while attempting to destroy the enemy’s base structure. The map features both teams’ Nexus at opposing corners, joined by three lanes with jungle areas in between, and divided by a neutral zone. Along the map’s paths, you have to destroy several structures called turrets and inhibitors before you can reach and destroy the Nexus. Also, in the map’s jungle, and along the neutral line, there are several objectives you can complete that can give you powers and advantages you can use to crush competing players. In addition, the game provides you with AI minions that help you accomplish your goals.
Currently, you can choose between two maps to play. First, there’s Summoner’s Rift, the most popular map to play that features the now traditional three-lane structure. Then there’s Howling Abyss that focuses only on a one-lane passage, making for one intense fight. The game ends when one of the teams has successfully destroyed their opponent’s Nexus.
